Ever Wonder Why Your Jeans Have That Small Front Pocket? Turns Out, It's Very Useful..

They're on all your jeans...but why?

Many of us wear jeans everyday. They're comfortable, versatile, and stylish.

But there's one thing about jeans that has baffled us for generations: what is that tiny pocket? Why is it there? And what does it do?

It turns out, the seemingly useless pocket does actually serve a purpose.

The tiny little pocket was first introduced by Levi's as a pocket for watches. Dating back to the 1800s, cowboys would wear their watches on chains inside their waist coats, leaving them vulnerable. The pocket served as protection.

Even though pocket watches are no longer in style, the pocket has remained and continues to serve a variety of purposes--such as holding coins, matches, and tickets.
